Our Team

Kate Fenske has a passion for Winnipeg and is recognized as a team builder and collaborator. She joined the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ as CEO in October 2018 and leads the organization’s activities to promote, care and advocate for a vibrant and inclusive downtown where business thrives and people are drawn to work, live, shop and explore. Kate provides strategic direction and a voice for the 1,100 businesses operating in Downtown Winnipeg and works with her team to create a downtown where everyone feels welcome.

Kate is a broadcast journalist graduate from Mount Royal University in Calgary. She sits on the Board of the International Downtown Association and served four years on the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Board.
